YOUR NOV. 11,2004 CANVASBACK FEMALE IS JUST THE RIGHT PHOTO, TO LOOK AT AS I CARVE MY WOODEN DECOY. I AM A RETIRED SHOP TEACHER AND MY HOBBY IS CARVING AND PAINTING. WITH YOUR PERMISSION I WOULD LIKE TO VIEW YOUR WORK. THIS VIEW IS PERFECT DUE TO THE TURNING OF THE HEN'S HEAD. I STILL WORK IN THE LOCAL SCHOOL WITH SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT'S AND THEY ENJOY WORKING IN WOOD AND DRAWING ALL BIRDS.
karnataka birds photos
I was given your website by my friend and former co-worker at WBU in Pleasant Hill, Alice Holmes, a longtime member of Mt. Diablo Audubon. May I have permission to use 12 of your bird photos. I need just the images in order to designate groups at a women's conference at Asilomar in September. Our theme is Soaring and your beautiful photos would be perfect.
Thank you for considering my request.
I am compiling a guide of common winter birds for Chacala, Nayarit, Mex. It will not be sold commercially, but will be distributed to the school and a few local posadas. There are a few photos that I am unable to find with open copy-rights. You seem to have the photos that I need. May I obtain permission to use some of your work? So far I need the Golden-cheeked Woodpecker, and Ivory-billed Woodcreeper, but I'm sure there will be others. I would appreciate your consideration. Zan
I would like permission to use your photo to illustrate a blog about Black Swifts (the one of the birds flying in front of the waterfall as seen on the RMBO blog).
My website is www.rick-simpson.com
I am a bird guide currently living in Brazil.
Fabulous photography. Enjoyed every shot. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.
Hello, I'd love to post your photo of the Raven in flight on my website, www.silverhawkstudio.com as a visual. We hand carve tiny feathers from bone and paint them to look like real feathers from specific birds then assemble them into jewelry. We have been in business 25 years. Please let me know if it is okay with you. I will give acknowledgment as well as any link to you you'd like. Thanks for your consideration.
Laurie - you didn't leave an email address so there is no way for me to get back to you. Send me an email at g.tepke (at) comcast (dot) net.
Hi. Is it possible to buy a copy of a raven photo for a book cover?
Glen, excellent, excellent shots. All are well composed and really come to life! I didn't know it was possible to find Band-Tailed Pigeons in such numbers in Oakland. I will have to search more next time I'm up there. Looks like we've shot at some of the same locations. Nice work again.
Hi Glen. I am involved in a eastern marshland project with the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators in Ithaca. We will be exhibiting our works next year at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I was wondering if I could use your snow goose in flight as the basis of my painting....it's gorgeous!! thank you .shirley hogg
Amazing what a person can accumulate in 8 years collecting pictures. Great work Glen.
I saw a shearwater today and was not sure what it was, thanks to your excellent cllection of photos I am now pretty sure it was not a Pomarine but more than likely an Artic. Thanks
I have never seen such an outstanding collection of birds - we never had them on our farm. Visiting you parents always brings back lots of beautiful memories. Hope to see you someday, with love , Irmgard
Glen, I am blown away by your most captivating photographs! I can't even imagine the amount of time, travel, and patience you put into this...obviously your passion. I am an artist and notice beauty in just about everything - large to the tiniest of tiny. Each photo is MAGNIFICENT! Tina from Connecticut
For Glen Tepke, I'm a amateur at drawing but would like permission to draw your
Bird Swallow, it is such a pretty Blue.
This has been a great help to me in sparrow identification. Thanks. Beautiful pictures, Rebecca from Kentucky

Hi, Came across an image on mangoverde, and enjoyed your site. I am always looking for images and photographers to feature on the site I maintain, birdphotos.com.
thank you, and best wishes,
good afternoon. I am a real rookie at this sort of thing so I will just ask my question. I am going to carve a Wood Thrush and I am having trouble finding reference photos. Yours are excellent. My question is this: how do I go about getting permission to use them. Thanks
I'm go glad that I stumbled upon your collection of pictures. They're fantastic.

Hi Glenn and Carol,
How are you two doing!? Long time no see! I see you live in California now. Fed up with the cold? Here in Holland everything is fine. Two more years to go for my PhD. Maybe I'll be doing a post-doc in California, so we can do some birding again! Still birding a lot and doing a lot of photography. My last trip was to Kenya. There are some nice pictures on my friends website www.luchters.nl.
All the best,
I'm very impressive of your different galleries, Especially of Wilson petrel. Where did you took this photos? Personnaly, i stayed 1 year in antarctica (see my 2 galleries), and that was the most difficult bird to photograph (small bird and allways in movement).
Congratulation for this beautifull shots.
This site is very useful. Keep up this excellent work - very good.
Hi Glenn Nice speaking with you today while waiting for the noshow Owl! I really like your portfolio, so many excellent shots of so many different species, keep taking the wonderful shots..

I found your photos of the Costa's hummingbird. On January 1st, 2006, an imature male was banded in Montgomery, Alabama, the first record in the east. I have put a link to your site so that others can see what he will look like when he grows up.

Those are great digiscopes, Glen! I used to do it, and have a few of my old ones up on my site in a separate gallery, but never close to that quality -- yours will now be a site I send people to for showing what can be done with digiscoping.
It takes a lot of time out to get that many quality shots. Great work.
I am about to change from Nikon to Canon. Could you tell me what body (s) and lens you prefer. I do mostly birds but also general wildlife. Great shots of the Great Gray! Thanks, Jerry
Fantastic pictures.You are very good.
I can see we use the same Canon 10D,zoom 100-400 is etc.
Lately you have 20D.It looks like it is word getting it?
You are also digiscoping with talent.
Just saw my first Crimson Crested Woodpecker. Typed what I thought I saw on "google", and your webiste appeared appeared. Fantastic shots! Thanks. Brent Buhler Calgary, Canada
As you know I have seen and admired your pics on Birds-pix and Birdforums, but this time I surfed over from Mangoverde - I'm particularly interested in the Panama gallery, as a group of us are going there in March ( a week at Canopy Tower and a week on the coast). As usual, wonderful shots!

We are so psyched to see all the great photos you took while we were standing next to you. Lugging around all that equipment now seems well worth it. Glad that you share!!!
Hello, I enjoyed your photos.Thx for sharing. :)
Folks, Glen has revealed to me his mission - to turn us all into birders. From my point of view, he is succeeding handsomely. Keep up the great work!
Love the way you composed your gallery and am impressed with the 100-400 is lens. I know this lens loves light. but you achieved some of the best images in low or lack of light settings (overcast) Way to go. I love my 10D too.
You have a great body of work here. I really admire the layout of your webpage. It's the kind of site I'd like to have for myself one day, thanks. See you at BirdForum.
