Baiting changes the behaviour of the owl and compromises its survival.
Wow... simply Wow!!
Glen - these are absolutely incredible. I can't even imagine what a wonderful experience it must have been to have been there. I appreciate you sharing these. Thank you.
UnbeLIEvable pictures. They tell quite a story. Hard work being an owl, eh? I felt like an owl on that claw one -- "Hey, is there something wrong with this hand?" and also the one with the wings straight up as he/she landed. We do that in yoga.
Am I heading in the wrong direction? With a vacation scheduled in Sanibel (Florida) this coming week, I'm wondering if we're heading the wrong way, given the stunning photos you posted via Massbird. I don't suppose these beauties hang around much longer in this relatively close habitat. I'm wondering what their migration pattern is. Is this year's population pattern particularly unusual? Maybe next year if not early spring????
Great pictures Glen. They're the best ones I've seen out of all of the ones out there.
Thanks for sharing.
A great series Glen - enjoyed each frame and hope they arrive in MA this winter.
