The dog hooked up with us on our run and kept following us. With no owner in sight, we finally took a look at his tags and one of them read, "I'm not lost. I live at Rainbow (the area we were in). Do not take me to town." The tags did not say what his name was, so we called him Rainbow. When we came upon the moose laying in the middle of the trail, the dog ran up to it and started barking. This was my first moose sighting and I was thinking, "Oh no, the dog's going to scare it away!" But, the moose pretty much ignored the dog. It finally got up and starting eating, while the dog kept barking away. We bushwhacked around the trail, taking pictures. Moose are pretty cool!
