Marlis gathered a group of friends for what has become an annual event to celebrate Tom's birthday on the White River 50 Mile Race course. Unlike last year, where we had to turn around due to too much snow, we were able to run all the way to Corral Pass (elevation 5,600 ft.). After completing the first loop of the WR course (and feeding our faces), we opted to shorten the distance to ~40 miles by running out and back on the Skookum Flats section, which runs along the White River. The weather was a mixture of overcast, sunbreaks, showers and even snow up on Corral Pass, and unfortunately, no views of the Mt.
