For this 27th edition of the Tour de Beauce, the race stopped for another year in the Old part of Québec city. The stage, which represents the 5th out of a total of 6, was composed of 9 laps of 13.9 km for a total distance of 125.1 km. The Old Québec stage always gives beautiful picturesque backgrounds for photographing the cyclists in their valorous efforts. This stage was won by Vegard Stake Laengen (#43; Team Type 1 Sanofi -tt1;NOR) in a time of 2:59:27 for a mean speed of 38.5 km/h. The race was decided right at the finish line as first and second were awarded the same time. Russel Hampton (#63; Raleigh-GAC-RAL; GBR) and Liam Holohan (#66; Raleigh-GAC-RAL; GBR) finished second and third respectively. I hope you will enjoy these sport action photos.
