DDDDDDAA180XAC-BMG Approches Tunnel 1

In an extremely rare daylight appearance, UP's top secret DDDDDDAA180XAC-BMG was photographed on Jan. 25, 2003 pulling a empty coal train up the UP Moffat Sub. This expermental MONSTER locomotive sports 4 sets of "D" type trucks with a total of 24 axles. Rated horsepower has not been made public, but estimates are around 18,000 HP. The DDDDDDAA180XAC-BMG is normally ONLY run at night, and in rural areas to avoid sightings by the general public. Rumor has it the locomotive is stored in "Roundhouse 51" at Baily Yard in North Platte, NE.
