OK, this one came out better today.
It seems to work out better when I actually make some time during the day (read: sunlight) to take a shot or two.
I am working with a demo copy of Lightroom primarily to help organize the 5000 or so images that I am converting from 35mm negatives. What I am liking about Lightroom is that I can import some completely different photos (read: pbase PaD stuff) and NOT ruin the organization effort of my conversion process.
So back to this image. It is a tree branch with a nice snowy background. I believe I took it at +1 maybe +1 1/3 stop (Yeah, I could just look at the Exif) and then used a Lightroom preset (Age photo) which I really like.
Oh yeah, the EF 28mm f/1.8 hasn't come off my 40D in the past week+. Something about the 40D is making this lens a joy.
