Day 352 - A Path
(1084/365)
Just a quick abstract. My girls were in a massive baking mood all weekend, these are the underside of some muffin tins that were out of the washer, I think air drying. I added a little tint and some grain in LR3.

Day 351 - Holiday Baking
(1082/365)
My daughters have been cooking up a storm today, there are bins full of cupcakes and cookies with signs on them reading "Don't touch". My youngest is making these real awesome cookies (helped out here by my wife) for a "Cookie Party" tomorrow, so even more baked goods that I will not be allowed to touch.

Day 350 - MCRIBs
(1081/365)
I took my camera with me to pick up my daughter from fencing. I told her to be ready at 8PM and she actually remembered. I was a little upset, but I didn't have to get out of the car. That left me with a missing photo for the day. I was having trouble reading the sign because I was parsing MCRIB as M-CRIB, something about ALL CAPS does that to me. I didn't actually get a McRib though, they are way too messy and last night I wasn't interested in wearing my supper.

Day 349 - Just Testing it out
(1080/365)
Just testing this scenario out (my crutches are resting on the back of the bike). Funny thing, while I am shooting this, my wife & daughter walk in (came back from my daughter's Driver's Ed class) and she started yelling at me. At first she thought I was actually going to ride (I am in a Tee Shirt, Gym Shorts, and this freaking thing on my shifting foot), then she gave me a stare and announced that I was well enough to shuttle my daughter around tomorrow night. Busted!
But anyway, the amount of work it took just for me to get to the bike and then figure out how to get on it, I don't think I'm quite ready yet.
No way I'm going to try to fit into my riding boots yet, that would be painful.
Even though I am spending most of my day on the couch, I am no longer "stuck on it".
Here's why I'm not riding:

Day 348 - Xmas Concert
(1079/365)
So I got off the couch!!
My son's first concert (our 23rd). He is just left of center with the santa hat, with his saxaphone (pretty far back).

Day 347 - Stuck on the couch - Day 5
(1078/365)
So I've been on the friggen couch for 4 days and I finally realize that my ankle looks like an elephant's foot. The initials on my foot (DK) are of my Doctor's. A nurse in pre-op wrote this on my foot so that I went to the correct doctor (I should have been worried at that point).
Here's the reason for the couch time:

Day 346 - Stuck on couch - Day 3
(1077/365)
I shifted position on our sectional couch to "liven things up" but remain ready to climb the walls. From my new position, I am staring directly into our Xmas tree. What a great idea to shoot my view.

Day 345 - Stuck on couch - Day 2
(1076/365)
I am home on the couch with laptop on lap, left foot kind of elevated (and airing out a bit). Lighting in this shot sucks, not sure what I was thinking.

Day 344 - Post Op
(1075/365)
Catching up here. Here's a self portrait of me after coming out of the operating room. I am still under the influence of the anethesia so creativity is capped at this point. I was a little upset that I'd forgotten to bring my camera into the operating room with me though ;-)

Day 343 - Old NH Tag
(1074/365)
Figures, I get back into Tag'ing on my last few days. Anyway, when I saw where the NH Tag had moved to this evening, I knew where I was going.
Duston's had awesome bakery, they were open too, but I didn't have any room on the bike, if you can see the backpack I have strapped to the rear seat, I am carrying two laptops home for the week I'm out. If we had a decent VPN at work, I'd only need one, but as it is, I need to haul that backpack around for a chance at a crappy VPN session.

Day 342 - New NH Tag
(1073/365)
A fitting new Tag. I will be here on Friday for my Bionic Shifter. This is most likely my last bike photo for this riding season, which is kind of sad, there are still three solid weeks left of great riding ;-)
It was in the mid 20's this morning when I took this photo. I actually got off the bike AND took off a golve or two (I can see at least one on the seat). I think my hands froze on the short ride to work from here though.
Apparently if you want to take a photo of the Hospital sign with your bike in front of it, morning is the time to do this. There were people/cars coming in, but none leaving (that I saw).

Day 341 - NH Tag
(1072/365)
Mudhen (Pat) sent me an email about the Tag getting closer today. It was on my way home, so I took a little detour this evening. There was no way I was getting off my bike for this shot tonight, not because of traffic, but because I wasn't about to detach my umbilical cord (it was cold tonight).
