Day 233 - Bracing for it
(963/365)
Another Marching Band season begins. Here is the prize for winning the "March Off", throwing a pie in Mr Graichen's face. I was able to capture this moment a split second before the pie hit his face.

Day 232 - Law of Diminishing Fluid
(962/365)
I noticed that my clutch fluid was abnormally low this morning. It was one of those rides in where I was expecting to grab the clutch, squeeze, and then nothing. It wasn't THAT low, but you know. This marks the second time I have had to top off the clutch fluid this season. I have to check my records, but that is twice in something like 8,000 miles which isn't good. I'm guessing I have a slave and master cylinder rebuild project coming up here...

Day 231 - Camp Residue
(961/365)
I got home about 5 hours after my son went to bed tonight. He got back from Webelo's camp (his first time out) and was so exhausted, he was asleep very early. We sent him there with a Rubermaid box filled with clothes and gear. There were no rocks or dirt in it. This is just a small sampling of the stuff left in the box. I see that some of the rocks have gold paint on them, I'm sure there is a story behind them. I can only imagine the weight of this container coming home. At the top of the frame is an unused bottle of body soap. Apparently he never took a shower the whole time there (4 days). He must have been in heaven.

Day 230 - Trying it out for size
(960/365)
I went to Max's today for an extended lunch. My goal was to look at the 2009 GS left over. Turns out they didn't have it, it is at their NY store, they listed the photo twice to draw people in (cute).
Business must be good at Max's, I walked in with very specific questions (to check out the 2009 GS), rode in on my VStrom and everything. The first sales guy was way more interested in eating his lunch than talking or helping me out. The second was very laid back. I have to admit, I came prepared to buy a GS, a new one. I never expected to be ignored. Saves me a boatload of $$ though. I'm going to work the used market for a bit.
I really like this one I am sitting on, it is a factory-lowered GS with ABS & Spoked Wheels. The windscreen looks like something out of a Happy Meal, that would have to get replaced ASAP. This one is a 2010, it has the DOHC, something that is nice, but not really noticeable to me. I was trying to figure out where I would put all my crap. There's not as much fairing space as on the Strom.

Day 229 - Weekday
(959/365)
It's not often I see my wife during the work week. I came home (Early to me) at around 8PM and she wasn't in. She'd taken my oldest to get her hair styled (though I'm not sure what was styled).

Day 228 - To the mattresses
(958/365)
Sometimes you find the weirdest shit in Maine. Driving along side roads after dropping our son off at Webelo's camp (to avoid the traffic on 302) we found this very odd sight. Granted we had to do a little digging to find them.
You can't tell from this processing, but they are three totally different types of mattresses. My guess from one of the umpteen thousands of camps in the vicinity.

Day 227 - Kittens have a limit
(957/365)
Kala was trying to get KC to pose with her for a photo. I believe we reached KC's "holding limit" for this session right about the time this shot was taken.
Today was the first day that I've been home on a weekend and didn't have to work or were on some kind of vacation (and thus, not here). I celebrated by spending 4 hours shopping for the things I didn't have time to get the past month or so. The second half of my day was spent fixing the dishwasher that decided it would stop draining at some point in the past few weeks. It is working fine now.

Day 225 - Feet
(956/365)
This is a Tony Hawk Skateboard controller for the Wii. My son spends most of his time (when home) on this. He has completely flattened our carpet with this. It works out for the better since his feet aren't the cleanest, keeps them from directly touching the carpet.

Day 224 - What's over there
(955/365)
KC checking out something to my left. I believe they were my feet, I was down on the ground trying to capture her photo tonight. I just realized that the full sized photo is larger than she is in real life.

Day 223 - Aging
(954/365)
We've had a few bottles of wine in our kitchen (kitchen's if you count our first house) that have been sitting around waiting for an event to open them. I believe they have long since gone bad, the event's were never good enough. Now they remain because we don't want to throw away something that was so important.

Day 222 - Lazy KC
(953/365)
KC up on our bed in an oddly 'lazy' mood. Kala is gone to Girl Scout camp for the week, so we all get to look after KC. At night she is roaming the house and getting into trouble too. I think she's only taking a slight nap in order to be rested up for this evening hijinks.

Day 221 - Rotor
(952/365)
The rotor head to my son's Blade CX2 RC Helicopter was pretty handy this evening. I didn't realize it was so dusty until after I was processing it in LR. I should have known since I took it on a 'mission' yesterday (or the day before) in our family room up above the beams in the cathedral ceiling. As soon as I began hovering over one of the beams, a huge cloud of dust came floating back down towards me.
