Griffin was picked up by Animal Control in Montgomery,AL. He was living as a stray; we've no idea for how long. When we took him to the vet, he weighed in at about 15 lbs less than his racing weight. It will take awhile to get him back up to a healthy weight - he's only supposed to gain about 1/2 pound per week. He's 10 years old (whelped in April 93), and is a perfect gentleman. In his foster home, he loves to lie around and relax, in between walks and meals. He gets along fine with his foster sister, and totally respects her space. He knows how to handle stairs, so he might have lived in a home before. He also seems to be house-trained. He loves to just stand and be petted, and will rest his head in my lap at any opportunity. He needs a family that will love him and care for him for the rest of his life.
Because he's used to hunting for his food as a stray, he tends to counter-surf, and is interested in everything that might be edible. But he respects the "no" command, and does not push the issue.
