On the 6th -7th October 2007 The Second World War USAAF Base at Rougham Suffolk UK, was home to a 1940's weekend. Many and varied displays recreated what life was like in those historic days, which some of us still so vividly remember.
Rougham Airfield is situated a couple of miles east of Bury St Edmunds UK, and was home to the USAAF 322nd and 94th Bombardment Groups during the Second World War. http://www.rougham.org/94th.php This airfield is one of the few wartime bases to retain its Control Tower into current times.
