Landguard Point 3 August 2008

Landguard Point is on the opposite shore to Harwich, only one mile by water, but forty two miles by road. The Forts of both sides of the mouth of the River Orwell have guarded the harbour for many centuries. http://www.landguard.com/timeline.html The International Port of Felixstowe is one of the world's largest Container Ports.
