After this picture I put down camera and directed traffic to keep open a lane when needed, more or less full time. Crowd stayed like this for the next 30 minutes. This was taken standing on the tailgate of my truck, which was also being used as a rest bench by riders. I think that's a line to the portable toilet crossing the road. I later learned that the 60 and 80 routes were different this year so all lengths arrived at this stop via the same route. This increased the peak load. In previous years the 45 route to here was the same, but the 60 and 60 had an additional 15 miles to the east of Glen Rose. So previously not only did the 45 riders mostly clear before the 60/80 arrived, but with an additional 15 miles, the 60/80 group had spread out more. On the other hand all this meant that we we finished by 11:30 rather than 14:00.
