Rare winter visitor, October to mid March, primarily in Lowlands and Mountains regions.
Habitat: Chaparral, heavy brush.
Best locations: None.
Note: Concolorous dark brown with dense heavy breast spots, small bill with yellow lower mandible, husky “chap!” call.
