Fred Craddock once said, "I read something recently – I knew this, but I had forgotten – that years ago our ancestors used to go out walking, usually on a Sunday afternoon – sometimes alone, sometimes couples, sometimes the whole family went out walking – and they called it “going marveling.” Marveling! They would look for unusual rocks, unusual wild flowers, shells, four-leafed clovers, all the marvelous things of life. They would collect them, bring them back to the house, and show off the marvelous things they had found. Isn’t that a delightful thing to do?"
And then I realized, this is why I enjoy photography so much – It is the way I “go marveling.” The only difference is that I collect the marvelous things I find with my camera! I hope you enjoy your visit to my galleries. Best regards, Greg
