The grain elevator and mill sits about an half mile west of the railroad tracks in Lucere.
This was once owned by Monfort. Monfort had several feed lots and a packing plant in Greeley. You can see the Monfort logo near the top on the building in the foreground. It was quite an operation.
The elevator annex was built by Borton, Inc-Hutchinson, KS. It was built after 1960. The name changed from Chalmers & Borton to Borton, Inc. The manhole covers on the annex have Borton, Inc on them.
