Gayle

Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Richard, a PBase friend, took this photo of me with my favorite camera and lens and I asked if I could use it as my profile photo. I would have liked to have my hair combed and one or two fewer layers of clothing but I guess this is most realistic!
Someone asked about the camouflage cover on the lens. It's primary function is to protect my gear from all of the bumps and bruises and some of the moisture the lens is exposed to as I drag it around the country.

RichardR 22-Mar-2007 16:12
That disarming smile, backed by such a big gun, makes for a potent wildlife photographer! :) I'm so glad you liked the image, Gayle. Like any wildlife shot, it took a great subject and a little luck. I do have to vote for this one! :))
Best to you, my friend,
Dick:)
