We won the Alaska Road Lottery in September 2016 and looked for another bucket-list item or two to add in that week. I called the Brooks Camp in Katmai to find that they had a single night left for the season. We booked our flights to Alaska and flights and reservations to Katmai. For the last several years we have taken our motorhome on any long trips and it was a challenge to pack our camera gear and warm clothing in the few bags allowed, especially on the float plane into Brooks Camp. We took seven flights in two days to get from New Orleans to Brooks Camp. It was worth the cost, planning and exhaustion!
