The Abbey of Sant'Antimo is located about 10km outside of Montalcino, in the Tuscany region of Italy. The current Romanesque abbey was built in the 12th centuary and is still in use today.

Inside I found a very sparse, peaceful space lit by the most beautiful, pale light. These photographs represent an exploration of the light and forms within the Abbey, investigating the symbolism and iconography I found during two hours of quiet reflection. Ultimately though, they are about the light.
