Annular solar eclipse two minutes apart. At 11:58 a.m. CDT the annulus was complete except where it was broken by lunar mountains. At noon the Moon appeared centered inside the Sun. The annular eclipse passed through a large part of the continental United States and was perhaps seen by millions of people.
