In 1997 I spent 5 Months in Turkey supporting the multinational Joint Task Force (JTF) patrolling the no fly zone over Northern Iraq. As the Operation Northern Watch (ONW) photographer I was given authority from the Commanding General to fly with mission crews to document operations. I flew with both American & British air crews which enabled me to acquire some excellent images of JTF ONW combat aircraft at work. During my time with JTF ONW I also supported the public affairs officer and documented many facets of our operations and the off duty life of the soldiers, airmen, and marines working from the base at Incirlic Turkey.
