This 42 foot Whale Watcher seats 35 passengers comfortably and has a top speed of 24 knots. The vessel is Coast guard certified and equipped with dual radios. There is an upper observatory deck and spotting tower and a partly covered heated cabin and washroom on board. Binoculars and rain coats are provided if requested. During the 1 ½ - 2 hour trip Pilot whales can usually be seen. Less frequently sighted are Finback, Humpback and Minke Whales. Sided Dolphins, Atlantic White, Beaked Dolphins, Porpoises, Basking Sharks can also be spotted along with Harbour and Grey Seals which are often sprawled out on secluded rocky outcrops. In addition to the sea life, bald eagles, cormorants, guillemots, gannets and loons are frequenthy seen although we didn't spot any on this trip. - Captain Mark website.
