To get this shot I had to make my way through and around some bushes and sharp branches. I managed to get a clear view and steadied the camera hoping the big guy wouldn't charge. You never know as I've heard my share of moose stories. These accounts are usually punctuated with descriptive words like "charge" "stubborn" "unpredictable" "mind of its own" and the obvious one "big". I was the only one in the group of people gathered by the roadside who managed to get this close....I was a determined photographer. I looked at the moose and it stared back at me. Fortunately it decided not to move. I took the shot with the help of a Tiffen MegaPlus 2x tele-converter and got out of there before it could "critique" my picture taking skills.
