I saw both owlets perched not too far from each other. When I arrived, the crows were harassing both adult owls. In return, red-wing blackbirds were dive bombing some crows. The circle of life, I think.
We have a lot more green space here in the National Capital Region which includes Gatineau, Quebec and surrounding areas. Last night went to see if a reported Chuck Wills Widow was still around. There were around 25 to 30 cars all lined up along the road. The only thing I heard was the peenting call of an American Woodcock next to the road and the distant winnowing sound of a Wilson's Snipe.
