I am very excited to see a Northern Hawk Owl again. This is my favourite owl to watch and photograph. It is not shy, active during daylight hours and look at that face. What's not to like? :-) A small number have moved southward into eastern Ontario and some in Quebec as well. It's a privilege to see one in person.

I am not sure if the mark on its bill is permanent.
Unfortunately, I am not able to provide location. The winter (well, it hasn't actually started yet) is still young and one may show up in your neighbourhood :-)
