I went looking for this owl without having any idea where others had photographed it. I narrowed it down to 3 location and picked one as the first to try. Thought about the habitat and "something else" in choosing where to go first. Within minutes of entering the habitat I saw the owl perched in front of me. Wait a minute, it gets better. I heard a Coopers Hawk and went to check it out. I'm sure that's what I saw (backlit) flying into a nest. Also present were Ruby-crowned Kinglets and maybe a Kestrel. On the way home, saw what looked like a Sharp-shinned Hawk perched on top of a lampstand. Spring is turning out to be quite nice.
