Queen's Football 2008

Photos from the Queen's Golden Gaels Football Team's 8-1 2008 Season, a great season that saw the Gaels go 8-0 in the regular season, only to be upset in the OUA semi-final game against Ottawa. 2008 also saw the passing of legendary coach and friend to Queen's Football, Hal "Moose" McCarney.

Jeff, I wanted to say a huge thank you for your ongoing support of Queens football and the way you capture their games through your lens. In early days I brought my own camera and tried to shoot pics from the stands. As a result I found I wasn’t really able to watch the darn game. When I realized you maintained those wonderful photos on your website it enabled me to watch and enjoy the games as a parent and a fan. I know there are a lot of people who feel the same.

It was an incredibly sad way to end the year Saturday and I imagine you feel as empty as everyone else associated with the team. Hopefully the pain won’t last too long and as it fades, will be replaced with many wonderful memories and experiences that you’ve helped to capture over the years.

You’ve been a blessing.
