I was in Yellowstone Sept 14-24 2009. The weather was very HOT and dry which resulted in lots of animals staying up high in the mountains, particularly the elk and bears. As always, Yellowstone was magnificent and I met so many awesome people there. Highlights included a family of 5 otters, grizzlies, wolves, a drop tine bull elk, and a loose packstring of mules in my campsite in Slough Creek, and a Golden Eagle catching and eating a rabbit. I spent alot of time in Lamar Valley just relaxing watching the buffalo, pronghorns and coyotes. I had several buck pronghorn bucks walk right up to me ( curiosity ? ) and always enjoy watching the coyotes mousing using their ' mousing leap '.
Enjoy the images, I had a great time shooting them !
Your photos are very nicely done, Tom, because you have made good conscious decisions about representing your subjects so that your inner vision comes through and that enables me to become emotionally involved.
