Tundra Swans and Snow Geese

On March 1st I spent a very cold day at Middle Creek Wildlife Refuge in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania...where 80,000 snow geese and 3700 tundra swans stop over on their migration to their artic nesting grounds.
The Tundra Swans are so elegantly beautiful, and they make the most soothing cooing sounds...I could just get comfy and watch them all day.
The Snow Geese are spectacular !! To watch tens of thousands of geese lift off in front of you is EXHILARATING !! It does overwhelm your senses and you watch in awe !!

If you can, check out Middle Creek and the surrounding beautiful Amish countryside !
