Assateague Island wildlife and scenery

Assateague Island national seashore and Chincateague National Wildlife Refuge is a mecca for wildlife. With it's various salt/freshwater ecosystems, this uninhabited island teems with wildlife. Assateague also protects critical virgin habitat for the endangered Piping Plover and Delmarva Fox Squirrel.
