At this point a low Nimbostratus began to hide the coast of Maui. Here I spotted
the first magnificent rainbow. I will see more rainbows during this trip...

Around this place is the closest distance between Maui and Hawai'i (the Big Island.)
On the opposite side of the channel lies Upolu Point located on the slopes
of the Kohala Volcano, 5513', the oldest volcano on the Big Island.
