( http://www.go-lanai.com ) First flight on 5.Sep.2003 with Maui Aviators was out of Kahului, Maui and led us to the west coast of Lanai and to the secluded Manele Bay with its exclusive resort. Bill Gates' wedding was held at this hotel. Hey, they have "special rates" for the winter time: Its only $729 per night! Hurry as long as there is a vacancy... Second flight on 18.Sep.2003 was with Big Kahuna Aviation out of Honolulu International. It led us from Oahu via Molokai to the rather inhospitable east side of Lanai. We also landed in Lanai City for a coffee break and a few souvenirs. This was the second time that I landed in Lanai at Lanai Airport LNY. |
