"Horizons: Where the Sea Meets the Sky" is a large revue casting over 100 performers from several Polynesian and Melanesian nations. The show is really very impressive. Dancers, singers, firewalkers, all this is very well performed and very athletic. You should see it at least once! More informations on about the center are on their excellent web page http://polynesia.com/ Photography must be made strictly without a flash. Images made on Fuji P1600 film using a Canon image stabilizing lens. The "no flash" photography policy was strictly enforced. Every visitor with a camera in hand was asked to switch off the flash. After every accidental flash in the public, stewards swung immediately red lights and showed large signs "No Flash"! At first I found this a bit exaggerated, but as we saw the performances with torches and firewalking, it became obvious how essential good night vision was for these performers. |
