Carlsbad Caverns National Park is located in the Guadaloupe Mountain Range. A mountain range that runs from west Texas into southeastern New Mexico. The national park contains 110 limestone caves. The most famous being the Carlsbad Caves.
We did not plan to stop here, but while we were filling the RV with gass, a man at the gas station asked if we were here to see the caves as it is something we should not miss. I also gave our friends Bonnie and Wilda a call to see where they were on the their trip. When I told them where we were they said you have to see the caves. So we turned the RV around, as we had already passed them, and went to see the caves. We got there just as they were beginning the last tour for the day. Unfortunately we did not get to see all of the cave as the park was already closing down. But we did get to see some of it and we are glad we did.
