These photos were taken on a two week Photo Safari to Kenya with Afriqueen Adventure Travel in 2009. It was a wonderful trip. Our guide in the Masai Mara said he had not been on such a good safari in over six months! There are some photos that may not be for the faint of heart as these are wild animals and they need to kill to survive.

We started the trip with a visit to the Elephant Orphanage where they take care of orphanes and release them back to the wild. We also visitied the AIC Girl's Primary School and saw the hopes and dreams of these young girls. After AIC we visited the Giraffe Center where efforts are underway to protect the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Our last stop before our safari began was to the Kazuri Bead Factory. This business started small and developed into a help center for women who have no other source of income. They produce beautify hand made, hand painted ceramic jewelry. We then left for safari to Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, a Mountain tree lodge built on the slopes of Mt. Kenya, Samburu Buffalo Springs Reserves and the Masai Mara.
