I have been to Elk City 5 times and am going back this October for my 6th. I have been hunting Elk there. I live in Philadelphia and have a place in upstate Penna., I thought that area was remote until I visited Elk City. Its so nice there, I plan on going every year. The people are the nicest Ive ever met.

Came across a for sale advertisment for the Reno Club. Starting checking and found this web site. Looking forward to one day traveling to Elk City and having a beer at the Reno Club.

I agree on what Deb said! Leave our little town little! I've always loved Elk city, from the first time I came to this beautiful little town, some 15+ years ago! The people and the scenery, the wild life! Just breath taking! Thank-you! Darlene

Been browsing through the Elk City pages, including Red River, Dixie and Orogrande. Every now and then get homesick for my old home town. My dad worked on the mill at the Penman Mine and in the 40's had the old Elk City Store and the post office for awhile. Went to school with Gertrude Maxwell as teacher. Don't imagine there are too many of the old timers left that I used to know, but did see the comment by Nora Mae. Do remember her. One of these days am going to go back "home" again. I lived in Idaho while I was growing up and loved it. I miss the mountains and clean air. Im not sure if anyone that will read this will remember this but if so email me Id like to here from some people backhome. I liked the pictures even if they do make me very homesick. Id like to visit but its along ways from myrtle beach, south carolina!
