I miss Gamboa to this day, May 17, 2012. I lived there from 1951 to 1962 and I still think about it frequently. The jungle, the mountains, the Chagres River, the beaches, and of course, the Canal. Nothing can replace that even though I have a good life in the USA. It hurts to see the demise of a piece of paradise as we zonians knew them.
