crown

apparently there were no important developments in the world today, like exploding volcanos threatening lives, plane crashes with at least 100 dead. ongoing wars in many hotspots, fires and floods in various locations...as such it makes perfect sense that television news was dominated, indeed taken over by, the royal wedding in England, where the fourth in line for the crown (3rd is evidently a 4 year old boy, who's views may prove refreshing) finally tied the knot with his girlfriend...those skeptical of royal matters were likely reassured by the presence of celebrities like Clooney, Becks, Serena, Elton, Oprah, and HME-2 herself...back to sobering reality tomorrow one would guess, or at least by the end of the week

Not interested in royal Weddings, so I did not watch any of it. It is interesting that they waited until the first weekend after football season to tie the knot.
Your image on the other had is fantastic. Love the glow and the tiny stairs add scale to this. Quite apropos for your commentary.

Nobody does Royal weddings quite like our lot. This one was refreshingly informal by normal standards.

Great commentary. I was thinking of all the money spent. I have conflicting feelings though because I love the history behind the monarchy. Great POV and take on a theme. V

Biting commentary that I agree with!

Great photo and summary of the day....although I am not usually a follower of royal events I did watch this one. There's something about Harry!!!

Super, well seen, crown-like capture. I enjoyed your commentary too. These people don't live in the real world.

A very creative take on a crown and a beautiful capture. I don't follow these things, but I thought I heard he was seventh in line for the throne (with a lot of children ahead of him).
