magazines

this is the last magazine shop on the city's west side...apparently online options have eliminated most print publications...here mags are still available, and a few news options too, like Guardian Weekly...for how much longer is not at all clear

All too sad and it happened so fast to so many enterprises, Kodak not the least of them. Vote.

This sight is becoming very rare unfortunately. I know I am part of the problem because I have canceled many subscriptions. Excellent documentation. V

How sad to see printed material disappearing...
Merry Christmas David!

Maybe a thing of the past, but most folks still like to touch and feel paper. Hope we can keep this going ! Nicely shot. V

Sad situation ! Hope we will be preserved her, but nothing sure ! I'm not an "enemy" of Online publications, but nothing's better for me to flip through a magazine or a newspaper with a good cup of coffee (or tea) in the other hand...V.

I'm surprised there are that many magazines there. Very sad there will soon be even fewer to look at. Nothing like holding a book or a magazine in you hands. Nice photo.

For book lovers, there’s no more magical place than the local bookstore....wonderful lighting and perspective.

Like Dan said, we see these type of displays at the book seller chains. The lead copy of each title is usually a little tattered as folks tend to read it in the store and put it back without buying.

I hadn't thought about it but it is somewhat rare. I have magazine subscriptions . Less expensive and thwe are mailed to me.Good lighting and detail here.

I don't think I've seen anything like that for a long time! It would be wonderful to be able to browse here.

A dying type of business for sure. Nice to see that you still have a News Agent like this one. Nice to see they stock Country Life, a favorite of mine until the subscription price became too high to justify subscribing.

Great story telling shot. Here, we do seem to have magazines available a lot of places - super markets, big book stores, etc. The specialty magazine shops are mostly gone though. Luckily addicts like me still buy a lot of magazines, pretty much all on subscription. ~V~

I am afraid that is going to be the case with many local newspapers as well..
