drifting down the east coast of Vancouver Island, I timed my arrival at Buckley Bay well in order to catch the next ferry to Denman Island...however, that particular sailing had been cancelled due to dangerous cargo (apparently a pbaser on the loose is not dangerous enough to get on board!)...so, looked around the coast for a while, stumbling upon Deep Bay, a haven for both a commercial and an aquaculture fleet, and private fishers too...salmon would be the big draw here
the small spit of land to the right is Mapleguard Point, and to the left across Baynes Sound is Vancouver Island...the obvious weather is classic British Columbia
