quandary

a bit of a quandary for the boat owner...a fierce windstorm has blown his yacht onto the beach...unfortunately the large craft has a metal hull, so re-floating it has proved impossible so far

curiously, the attached tender (row boat) is named the 'pious cow'

Nice story-telling image to titillate the imagination! I guess they will have to hope for a very high tide on the next full moon! V

Despite the owner's travails, it is a great opportunity to photograph this boat. I wish I were there for that. ~V~

A wonderfully composed image with a stellar sky. I really like the layers of the clouds and mountains in the background. You really selected a nice angle, especially for the grounded boat, for this capture. Voted

Great angle for a look at the pleasing shape. Nicely composed with the buildings and sky skyscape behind. V

Bummer! Looks like the row boat is gloating over the iron boats misfortune.

A superb capture although very sad for the ship's owner. Very impressive clouds, David. ~V

A beautiful boat - lucky it came up on the beach and not on rocks !! Makes a great shot with Vancouver and the mountains on a lovely day in the bg. V
PS Odd name for the row boat !

Nice perspective on this. Re-floating could prove difficult without the help of an unusually high tide or at high expense. At least she is not sitting in rough surf.

A quandary indeed, hope they get it fixed.

Gives a whole new meaning to 'let's go to the beach.' This is
a super composition and image, David. I feel for the owner.

Excellent composition with gorgeous clouds in the background. The subdued color seems to reflect the quandary quite well.
