set aside as parkland in 1934, Saxe Point, a bit west of Victoria, has forested paths, and ocean vistas, along the southern shore of Vancouver Island

this vantage point (with Washington State's Olympic Mountains in the distance) would be a tad difficult to find...luckily my daughter knows the area well
