limbo

the hospital adventure today left me in further limbo...the awkward brace is no longer necessary as the injury is healing well...at least the bones are well aligned according to the doctor and the x-rays...on the other side of the coin, must keep weight off the left leg for a further 4 weeks...certainly a short term disappointment amid a winter of discontent...now the man says will not be walking normally until summer...leg-breaks are more serious than first imagined

This is excellent. At least you have a lot smaller and lighter camera to walk around with. ~V~

I am very sorry to hear that.

Oh man, not till summer! Disappointing but at least there is an end in sight and it is healing. Just use the time to find some more of your wonderful older photos that you have yet to put up and start figuring out where you want to go for your next photographic journey. You could come to the east coast and photograph beautiful Long Island!
Lovely photo by the way!!! V

An excellent shot with those mirror like reflections. Sorry to hear you have a longer recovery period than you had hoped.

Ouch again but, hopefully, the time will pass quickly. Nice symmetry in the photo. V

Take it easy on that leg.

Cool image, the houses seem to be floating or are standing in a flooded street. Clever work. "V"
Sorry to learn your news of a long convalescence David. At least the break is healing well.

that's gotta be difficult for you. We need your wanderlust and its results.
Are you still coming to AZ in March?
Stephanie24-Jan-2015 13:56
What a gorgeous reflective image David! VV
Bummer about the leg! Thank goodness you're laid up during the winter months vs. summer....

Great reflections and capture.

Wish you a speedy recovery I do enjoy your travels.

Excellent reflective shot... the worst is over, the healing will take a while but summer isn't that far away. V
Helen Betts24-Jan-2015 05:46
So sorry to hear about your prolonged recovery, but at least there is light at the end of a long tunnel. I broke my femur when I was much younger, and it took me five months to be able to walk on it again, so this may not be so unusual for a broken leg. Beautiful reflections and toning in this lovely image. V.

Sorry to hear of the further delay, hope its not too painful now.
The reflections are great on the still water.

I know you're disappointed at the recovery time, but I'm happy to hear it's healing well. Easy for me to say; it's not my leg. Nice reflections by the way. V
Neil Marcus24-Jan-2015 01:34
I'm sorry to hear that it is going to take so long. How does one go easy on a weak leg? Will you use a cane and then remember not to stress it. sounds tricky.s
Gill Kopy24-Jan-2015 01:33
Cool reflections, but bad news David - maybe time to master crutches ?? My sympathies :( V

A fabulous shot using this interesting technique. But what a horrible disappointment for you with a further four weeks of inactivity. The winter of your discontent as you say, is now prolonged. I'm sorry to hear this.
