White House Ruins, Canyon De Chelly, near Chinle, Arizona

Navajo have lived in this area for the last 300 years, yet this ruined complex was built by Ancestral Puebloan people about 800 years ago...a canyon tour with a Navajo guide enables close-up looks at a number of such historical sites
