disoriented

a crosstown expedition to the east side of town...but my favourite little record store was still closed (seems they open at 12:00 noon on Sundays), so for a while I gadded about the street, past coffee shops and closed restaurants like the Latin Quarter..it was initially disorienting, yet ultimately an adventure...in the end the music shop opened and they still did not have a new release from Malian sensation Fatoumata Diawara...ah well, there is still Oumou Sangare and Toumani Diabate to listen to..

Nice story and a subtle self-portrait, David.
However, I must confess my ignorance when it comes to your taste in music!

Nice to see you David and also the inviting interior of this restaurant. Sometimes one gets the best images by just wandering around with the camera without a plan. "V"

Reflections of life, nicely captured David...

How familiar a sight - red checkered tablecloth, stemware glasses with cloth napkins tucked in, pepper and salt shakers, and white simple china -- all enclosed behind glass, and a photographer teasing us with his reflected image and others for a playful layered look.

Inside out, outside in. I enjoy shots such as this, where the lines are blurred. Well done. V
