camping for change

in the midst of a maze of downtown corporate towers, some Occupy Vancouver protesters seem in it for the long haul...and prepared to camp here for change

Great reflections. It is interesting to see the tents amongst the high rises. A gret documentary shot. V

Very thoughtful image .
The low camping tents and the high rise of that reflection .
Just wonder how they meet ?

I had no idea this was going on in Canada as well. Excellent story telling shot of the whole scene. ~V~

Wonderful capture of the reflections V

Image does well in showing the large nest of protester and temporary lodgings right in the center of the city. Perhaps they will bring about something useful after all, but right now it is not clear what. V

A superb documentary image, David, with a superb reflection on the glass fronted building in the background. (V)

Love contrast between the tents, designed for the great outdoors, and the concrete jungle towering above them, reflecting the contrast of worlds between those protesters in this tented village and those who work in the corporations within the mighty towers. Beautiful light and reflections too. V

impressive image, David... hope they will be heard.
yesterday i was watching a very well known writer, Eduardo Galeano, author of Las venas abiertas de america Latina...
he was repeating some of the signals he had read at the indignados movement, at spain.. and one said:
"if you don't let us dream, we will not let you sleep"

A great shot David that underscores the wide gap between two worlds. This is emphasized by the concrete reality of the colorful tents and the distorted abstract reflections. "V"

What will we see when we look back at the autumn of 2011? I am glad that the weather is holding. The lights, shadows, and reflections on your tall structures suggest elusive patterns of shifting socio-economic and political philosophies growing exponentially.

Doing the same thing here. Good job on the capture. They're arresting anyone that camps out here.

Some may see a certain symbolism in scale. Well done. V!
