Castiglione del Lago, Umbria

a merchant offers samples to passers-by...Pecorino is a popular cheese, Salame al Cinghiale is wild boar sausage, Salame al Tartufo is sausage with truffles, and the shorter, more rounded pork sausage is known locally, because of it's shape, as Cojoni di Mulo, or Mule Testicles...it's probably more appetizing than it sounds

An interesting image of this fascinating shop with so many locally made delicious specialties. It's not exactly a vegetarians paradise, but I would try the Wild Boar Sausage and Cojoni di Mulo for sure. "V"
