Pienza, Tuscany

The town of Corsignano received an infusion of new Renaissance buildings when a local man became Pope Pius 2 during the 15th C...without a trace of modesty he renamed it Pienza, after himself of course

One of my favorite locations in Pienza. If you walk farther up the street, you will come to the tiny leather shop on the right.

Popes of that era are not remembered for their modesty. Great wide shot with nice distortion. I feel like I'm looking up. "V"
