This is how we came by our rabbit years ago. He was a white rabbit and obviously not wild. He was hopping along our street when my husband scooped him up. So sad to see this! V

Poor little guy. This is one of the domestics I assume, of which there seem to be no end in various parks in the Lower Mainland. Hard for them to cope in the cold.

Powerful image. A desparate forage for food - half the world knows that story!BV

Magnifique contraste! Mais il est mal protégé contre les fusils...

I wouldn't like to be a feral bunny this winter...far too cold at the moment, I hope this one has a nice deep warm burrow to go to...

So badly camouflaged in the snow too!

Must be quite a shock to be abandoned like that but at least it has a nice thick coat.

Dave, you should rescue these bunnies and take them home with you! They make wonderful pets!
Johnny JAG19-Dec-2009 18:38
Despite what Stephanie says there are many black bunnies in the wild around these parts. This one is a beauty.

This bunny doesn't looks domesticated and headed for hard times indeed. A strong image David. "V"
globalgadabout19-Dec-2009 17:22
yes..this park has many rabbits, most of them set free here by people no longer wanting them as pets
Stephanie19-Dec-2009 17:11
A man after my own heart! But what is a black bunny doing outside? It is obviously a domesticated pet. BV!
