France 2013 'colours of the Jura mountains' (Under construction)

During our yearly family holiday I only took my Canon 180mm f/3.5 macro lens since bird photography would mean me being absent all the time :-)
The Jura mountains in eastern France are very interesting since they mainly consist of lime soils. Since my studies in biology I have always loved walking in calcareous grasslands because they are full of life and host a number of very interesting plant and insect species (among many others...). Moreover, the region of Bonlieu, where we stayed, is also famous for its lakes and lowland calcareous marshlands. Two weeks was just too short to search and find everything on my wishlist, but I enjoyed my early morning walks in the grasslands and along the marshes, always returning to the 'gte' around 8 to wake my family with some freshly baked croissants...
